Artist Bio
James Waterston
(Bio as of June 2011)
James Waterston most recently appeared at the Goodman in Chinglish during the 2010/2011 Season. New York credits include Parents’ Evening at The Flea Theater, Buffalo Gal at Primary Stages, Jack in The Importance of Being Earnest at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (Sir Peter Hall directing), Orlando in As You Like It at The Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park and Another Time at AJT. Regional and international credits include Iago in Othello at Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Edmund in Long Day’s Journey into Night, Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night, Mark Antony, Brutus and Cassius in Julius Caesar (American Repertory Theater, Paris’ Theatre Gerard Philipe and touring throughout France), Konstantin in The Seagull and Randy in Children. Mr. Waterston has spent four seasons at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, three seasons at The Old Globe in San Diego, and three seasons at the Sundance Institute. Film credits include Certainty (upcoming), Visiting, Dead Poets Society and Little Sweetheart. His television credits include Treme (HBO), The Good Wife (CBS), a recurring role on Six Feet Under (HBO), Live from Baghdad (HBO), Wedding Daze (Hallmark) and Christy: The Movie (Hallmark miniseries). Upcoming projects include the tour of Julius Caesar in Sarajevo and Bogota.
