Artist Bio
Morocco Omari
(Bio as of May 2008)
Morocco Omari most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Ballad of Emmett Till during the 2007/2008 Season. His other Goodman credits include Blues for an Alabama Sky, which was reprised at Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Other Chicago theater credits include Intimate Apparel and Space at Steppenwolf Theatre Company; Elmina’s Kitchen at Congo Square Theatre Company; Court-Martial at Fort Devens and Knock Me a Kiss at Victory Gardens Theater; and Pill Hill and The Death of Black Jesus at Chicago Theatre Company. Regional credits include Take Me Out at Geffen Playhouse and King Hedley II at the Reilly Theatre. Television credits include recurring roles on Joan of Arcadia, Girlfriends and Dragnet. Other television credits include guest-starring roles on Prison Break, 24, Frasier and Judging Amy. Film credits include Half Past Dead 2, Momentum and The Male Groupie, which he also wrote and produced. Mr. Omari will be making his directorial debut with the film Misleading Man.
