Artist Bio
Amy Warren
(Bio as of March 2007)
Amy Warren most recently appeared at the Goodman in Rabbit Hole during the 2006/2007 Season. Other Goodman credits include Heartbreak House directed by Kate Whoriskey and Trojan Women directed by Mary Zimmerman. She recently performed the role of Daisy in Next Theatre’s The Adding Machine: A Chamber Musical and in the ensemble of Inherit the Wind at Northlight Theatre. At Steppenwolf she appeared in Mother Courage and Her Children, Ten Percent of Molly Snyder, The House of Lily, The Weir, Whispering City and The Glass Menagerie. Some favorite roles include Vivian Blaine in Pulp at About Face Theatre, for which she also composed the Jeff Award-winning music with Andre Pluess and lyricist/ playwright Patricia Kane; and Francis in Sarah Ruhl’s Melancholy Play at Piven Theatre, both directed by Jessica Thebus. She played Minta Arbuckle in Second City’s Fatty Arbuckle’s Spectacular Musical Revue and has sung the role of Mary Magdelene in the all-rock version of Jesus Christ Superstar. Ms. Warren has also released a CD with Tallulah, appears on several Aluminum Group releases and has worked with Curious Theatre Branch and Theater Oobleck.
