Artist Bio
Jeff Whitty
(Bio as of October 2002)
Jeff Whitty most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Beard of Avon during the 2002/2003 Season. Off-Broadway, his credits include Amy Freed’s Freedomland at Playwrights Horizons and If Memory Serves at the Promenade Theater. Regionally, he has been seen in Boys and Girls and Cellini at New York Stage and Film, Gross Indecency at Philadelphia Theater Company, as well as productions at the O’Neill Theater Center, Lincoln Center Directors Lab and the Mac Welltnan Festival. Film credits include Lisa Picard is Famous, Garmento and Marmalade; television credits include Big Apple and As the World Turns. He recently returned from an O’Neill Theater Center workshop of Avenue Q, a musical for which he’s writing the book; it will appear off-Broadway in February. Mr. Whitty’s play The Plank Project will appear off-Broadway in November. He received his MFA from the NYU Graduate Acting Program.
