Artist Bio
Greg Walter
(Bio as of September 2001)
Greg Walter most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Visit during the 2001/2002 Season. He originated the role of Frankie in Chicago’s longest running musical, Forever Plaid, which received four Jeff Awards including best ensemble. He was Jeff-nominated for best actor in a revue for the long running The Irish and How They Got That Way at the Mercury Theatre, for which he also served as music director and arranger. Other music directing credits include Pump Boys & Dinettes and Nunsense 2 at Theatre at the Center. Other Chicago acting credits include Damn Yankees, Grease, The King and I, Closer Than Ever, Baby, Phantom, Putting It Together and Call Me Madame for the ENCORE! series. Greg is a vocal teacher and professional accompanist in Chicago. He holds a BM in music from Belmont University in Nashville, where he was a Theodore Presser Scholar in music
