Artist Bio
Yasmin Zacaria Mikhaiel
(Bio as of February 2023)
Yasmin Zacaria Mikhaiel, she/they (Dramaturg) is a dramaturg, journalist and oral historian with roots in and around Chicago. As a queer, fat, brown femme, they endeavor to amplify and archive stories that go lost/stolen/forgotten. Their writing and research explore possibility models for a more inclusive and sustainable theater culture and industry. Mikhaiel holds a M.A. in Performance as Public Practice from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.F.A. in Dramaturgy/Criticism from The Theatre School at DePaul University. They are City Bureau’s digital producer and teach as part-time faculty at TTS DePaul. YasminZacaria.com
