Artist Bio
Bri Buckley
(Bio as of July 2024)
Bri Buckley (she/her/they) is looking forward to returning to the MTI program, driven by a deep passion for nurturing creativity and empathy in students, while aiding them in refining their unique voices. Bri prioritizes empathy and self-expression using the tools of the performer. Beginning with Goodman’s ‘Alone Together’ during the pandemic, Bri has since contributed to transformative initiatives like August Wilson Youth Intensive, Disney Musicals in Schools, and MTI. Since 2015, Bri has served as a teaching artist across Chicago, empowering students with performance principles and fostering community. Collaborating with innovative programs such as Silk Road Rising’s EPIC, Lifeline and 2nd Story, Bri believes in theatre’s transformative potential to inspire, educate, and unite communities, cultivating brave spaces for exploration and expression.
