Growing up in Chicago, best friends Leon and Elston shared a dream of making it big in Hollywood with films that could change the conversation about race in the U.S. Now drifted apart, Elston is an assistant to a white movie executive in L.A. while Leon is still in Chicago, cutting hair and recording an unpopular podcast. When a film they pitched years ago is suddenly greenlit, the two must come together again and try to make things work in a high-stakes industry not designed for them. You Had a Good Run asks if we can really make change from the inside, or if we have to blow everything up and start over.
Post-show discussion to follow.
