Mark Crayton

Mark Crayton most recently appeared in Galileo Galilei during the 2001/2002 Season. Other Goodman credits include the world premiere of The Visit as Louis Perch. A countertenor who regularly sings at concert halls and in opera houses through­out the United States and Europe, he recently made his debut at the Kennedy Center with the Washington Chamber Symphony singing Purcell’s Ode on St. Cecilia’s Day and at Orchestra Hall singing Handel’s Messiah with the Apol­lo Chorus of Chicago. Last year, Mark Crayton made his recital debut at New York’s Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall and he has been heard in Chicago with both Music of the Baroque and His Majesty’s Clerkes. On CD for the Cen­taur label, Mark Crayton’s voice, along with the Chicago Baroque Ensemble, can be heard singing songs by Phillipp Heinrich Erlebach.
