Andrew Hinderaker returns to Goodman Theatre, where he was a member of the 2013/2014 Playwrights Unit. During this time he developed The Magic Play, a co-commission between the Goodman and New York’s Roundabout Theatre Company. His plays include I Am Going to Change the World, Dirty, Kingsville and Suicide, Incorporated, which premiered at Chicago’s Gift Theatre in 2010 and was subsequently produced off-Broadway at the Roundabout Underground. His play Colossal, which features a dance company, drumline and a fully-padded football team, will receive a National New Play Network (NNPN) rolling world premiere during the 2014/2015 season with productions at Olney Theatre Center, Mixed Blood Theatre, Dallas Theater Center and Southern Rep. Mr. Hinderaker is also a resident playwright at Chicago Dramatists, an ensemble member of the Gift Theatre and a three-time Jeff Award nominee. He holds an MFA in Playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin.
