Artist Bio
Beth Hyland

Beth Hyland (Playwright) is a playwright and screenwriter based in Chicago. Her plays and musicals, which include Seagulls, Killed a Man (Joking), Clearing, Red Bowl at the Jeffs and For Annie, have been produced and developed around Chicago as part of Steppenwolf’s LookOut Series; with The Sound, Jackalope Theatre, The Story Theatre, First Floor Theater, The Passage Theatre, Broken Nose Theatre and others; regionally at Octagon Theatre Bolton; and in New York at The Hearth and Dixon Place. Her first short film, Clambake, directed by Sammy Zeisel, is currently in post-production. She is a proud co-founder of The Sound. bethhyland.com
