Artist Bio
B.J. Jones
(Bio as of September 2002)
B.J. Jones most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Guys during the 2002/2003 Season. He is the artistic director of Northlight Theatre in Chicago. A Joseph Jefferson Award nominated director, he has piloted productions at his home theater of Northlight as well as Steppenwolf, Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, National Jewish Theatre, Body Politic and Wisdom Bridge. A two-time Jeff Award-winning actor, he has appeared on virtually every stage in Chicago including appearances at the Goodman in the American premiere of House and Garden; Steppenwolf, in The Royal Family and Court and Victory Gardens as well as Northlight where he starred in God’s Man in Texas. Directorial assignments include Hearts: The Forward Observer, A Skull in Connemara, Below the Belt, The Price, A View From The Bridge, An Experiment With An Airpump, School for Wives, Pygmalion and The Cripple of Inishmaan. He has appeared on film in The Fugitive and Body Double, and on television in Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Early Edition, Turks, Cupid and The Untouchables.
