Artist Bio
Ali Amin Carter
(Bio as of November 2008)
Ali Amin Carter most recently appeared at the Goodman in Ruined during the 2008/2009 Season. His recent Chicago credits include understudying in Lookingglass Alice at Lookingglass Theatre Company and First Breeze of Summer at Court Theatre. His onstage credits include Intimate Apparel as a guest artist at Loyola University, August Wilson’s Jitney (as Youngblood) with Pegasus Players at Theater on the Lake, Invisible Man Prologue with Congo Square Theatre Company at The Art Institute of Chicago, Heat Wave with Pegasus Players, Living in the Wind at ETA, which earned him a Black Theater Alliance Award nomination for Best Featured Actor, and The Sun Always Shines for the Cool at UrbanTheater Chicago. Mr. Carter has also appeared in more than a dozen national commercials, including McDonalds, Pepsi, Crest Toothpaste and Budweiser. As a model, he has appeared in advertisements in magazines such as Ebony, Essence, Vibe and Sports Illustrated.
