Allen Lee Hughes

Allen Lee Hughes most recently appeared at the Goodman in Purlie during the 2005/2006 Season. Broadway credits include Having Our Say, Mule Bone, Strange Interlude, Accidental Death of an Anarchist, Quilters and Once on this Island. Off-Broadway credits include Intimate Apparel at Roundabout Theatre Company, New York Theatre Workshop, Playwrights Horizons and New York Shakespeare Festival. Regional credits include various productions at Lincoln Center Theater, Arena Stage, McCarter Theatre, Seattle Repertory, Long Wharf Theatre, Guthrie Theater, Hartford Stage, Mark Taper Forum, Intiman Theatre, Kennedy Center, Denver Center and Alliance Theatre. Mr. Hughes’ awards include three Tony nominations, the 2003 USITT Distinguished Achievement in Lighting, two Helen Hayes Awards and the Merritt Award for Excellence in Design and Collaboration.
