- About the Goodman
Artist Bio
Ana Velazquez
Ana Velazquez (she/her) is a Mexican-American Director and Teaching Artist from the Southside of Chicago. She joined the PlayBuild team in 2019 and has taught with the Goodman for Disney Musicals in Schools. Ana is also a teaching artist for TimeLine Theatre’s Living History Education Program and for PlayMakers Laboratory (company member) Embarc professional development workshops for high school students. She has also led workshops for children and families in migrant shelters around the city with Once Upon Our Time Capsule. Ana is an Artistic Affiliate with American Blues Theater and a graduate from UIC with a BA in Theatre.
