Artist Bio
Andrew Funk
(Bio as of June 2002)
Andrew Funk most recently appeared at the Goodman in Galileo Galilei during the 2001/2002 Season. A recent member of the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Center for American Artists, his Lyric Opera credits include La Gioconda, Roméo et Juliette, Amistad, La Traviata and Tosca. He has also performed with the Chicago Opera Theater in their productions of Orfeo and Noye’s Fludde. Additional operatic credits include performances of Le Trouvère with the Sarasota Opera, Falstaff with Boston Lyric Opera, Salome with Glimmerglass Opera, and Semele with the Santa Fe Opera. Mr. Funk has also appeared on the concert stage, making his Carnegie Hall debut in 1996 singing in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.
