Atra Asdou

Atra Asdou (Karima/Layal) returns to Goodman Theatre after her previous turn as Belle in A Christmas Carol. Chicago theater credits include originating and performing several Second City e.t.c. revues, including Grinning from Fear to Fear, e.t.c. 43, Out of the House Party, The Best Decision You’ve Ever Made (The Second City); Hard Times, Blood Wedding, Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo (Lookingglass Theatre); 1984 (Steppenwolf); Heartbreak House (Writers Theatre); Whirled News Tonight, Lil Tooties (iO Chicago); and various satirical editorials (The Paper Machete). Non-Chicago theater credits include Today Is My Birthday (Yale Rep). Television and films credits include Somebody Somewhere, Southside (HBO); Chicago Med, Chicago P.D. (NBC). Asdou is a Lookingglass artistic associate. She is represented by Gray Talent Group.
