Artist Bio
Austin Tichenor

Austin Tichenor (Alternate Ebenezer Scrooge) returns for his third year as the Alternate Scrooge. Other Chicago credits include Book of Will (Northlight) and In The Garden (Lookingglass). As artistic director of Reduced Shakespeare Company, he’s acted off-Broadway, in the West End, and on PBS in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged). Other TV includes 24, Ally McBeal, Felicity, Gilmore Girls, Chicago Med, X-Files and West Wing. Regional credits include Kindred Spirits and Twelfth Night (Cincinnati Shakespeare); his own William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play (abridged) (Folger Theatre); and his own The Comedy of Hamlet! (a prequel) next spring at Merrimack Repertory Theater. He co-created two illustrated children’s books, Pop-Up Shakespeare and Daisy the Littlest Zombie, and hosts the Reduced Shakespeare Company Podcast, the world’s longest-running theater podcast. @austintichenor
