Boris McGiver most recently appeared at the Goodman in Desire Under the Elms during the 2008/2009 Season. Mr. McGiver’s off-Broadway credits include The Overwhelming directed by Max Stafford-Clark at Roundabout Theatre Company; nine Shakespeare productions at The Public Theater with Vanessa Redgrave, Mark Wing-Davey, Steven Berkoff, Brian Kulick and many others; Cymbeline with Bartlett Sher and Andorra with Liviu Ciulei at Theatre for a New Audience; Book of Days at Signature Theatre Company; More Lies About Jerzy at Vineyard Theatre; The Devils with Garland Wright and Lydie Breeze at New York Theatre Workshop; and Hapgood with Jack O’Brien at Lincoln Center Theater. Mr. McGiver’s regional credits include The Cure at Troy with Tina Landau at Seattle Repertory Theatre; Macbeth at California Shakespeare Festival; Dinner with Friends, Dancing at Lughnasa and The Beauty Queen of Leenane at Philadelphia Theatre Company; Private Lives at Center Stage; and the U.S. premiere of Pentecost at Yale Repertory Theatre. He has also performed at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Hartford Stage Company and Berkshire Theatre Festival. Mr. McGiver’s film credits include The Clique, Dark Matter with Meryl Streep, Fur with Nicole Kidman, The Pink Panther with Steve Martin, Taxi with Jimmy Fallon, Connie and Carla, Cradle Will Rock, Jesus’ Son with Billy Crudup, Little Odessa and Ironweed, also with Meryl Streep.
