Artist Bio
Charles Stransky
(Bio as of October 2011)
Charles Stransky most recently appeared at the Goodman in Dartmoor Prison during the 2011/2012 Season. Other Goodman credits include James Lingk in Glengarry Glen Ross, a role he portrayed in the original Broadway production and on the national tour. Other New York credits include Wilson in The Front Page at Lincoln Center Theater; La Poubelle in The Primary English Class; several principal and understudy roles in Death Defying Acts; and understudy roles in Psychopathia Sexualis and Sarah, Sarah at Manhattan Theatre Club. Chicago and regional credits include productions at The Old Globe, Northlight Theatre, American Players Theatre, Wisdom Bridge Theatre, Capital Repertory Theatre, Riverside Theatre Company, Kitchen Theatre Company, Delaware Theatre Company, the State Theatre in Austin, Texas and Vermont Stage Company. On film, he appeared in The Spanish Prisoner, Homicide and Things Change (all written and directed by David Mamet), Dad, Stone Cold, Ghost in the Machine, Anger Management, Caleb’s Door, The Winning Season and Pastime. Mr. Stransky’s television credits include Ed; Third Watch; Law & Order: Criminal Intent; Newhart; Murphy Brown; Frank’s Place; My Sister Sam; Family of Spies; Blind Faith; several characters on several episodes of Law & Order; and a recurring role as Dr. Delano on All My Children. He holds an MFA acting in from Brandeis University.
