Artist Bio
Colin D. Young
(Bio as of June 2007)
Colin D. Young most recently collaborated with the Goodman on In the Continuum during the 2006/2007 Season. He has off-Broadway credits that include In The Continuum at Primary Stages and Perry Street Theatre; The Blacks, Crazy Locomotive (2003 AUDELCO/Viv award), Native Son and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom at the Classical of Harlem; premieres of Edward Albee’s Fragments and Horton Foote’s Talking Pictures at Signature Theatre; Ariane Mnouchkine’s Mephisto, Carson Kreitzer’s Valerie Shoots Andy, John Clancy’s Fatboy (2004 Edinburgh Fringe Festival); Billboard, Rearviewmirror and Robert O’Hara’s Brave Brood and American Ma(u)l with Reverie Productions; and Alexander Hamilton and the Invention of America at the New York Historical Society. Mr. Young is also a co-founder and artistic director of Reverie Productions, for which he has produced 20 shows in the past eight seasons, and has adjudicated Reverie’s Next Generation Playwriting Contest since its inception in 2003. He was the founding festival technical director for the New York International Fringe Festival.
