Artist Bio
Dieterich Gray
(Bio as of October 2010)
Dieterich Gray most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Seagull during the 2010/2011 Season. His other Goodman credits include Robert Falls’ production of King Lear starring Stacy Keach and Naomi Iizuka’s Ghostwritten. Mr. Gray’s Chicago credits include Mother Courage And Her Children with Lois Smith, directed by Eric Simonson, The Royal Family directed by Frank Galati and I Just Stopped By To See The Man at Steppenwolf Theatre Company; Short Shakespeare! The Taming of the Shrew directed by David H. Bell at Chicago Shakespeare Theater; The Buddy Holly Story at Drury Lane Oakbrook; Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice directed by Joyce Piven, Great Expectations and Our Country’s Good at Piven Theatre Workshop, where he is an ensemble member; and Mr. Marmalade and Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake) at Dog & Pony Theatre Co., where he is also an ensemble member. His regional credits include Sarah Ruhl’s Passion Play (a cycle in three parts) directed by Mark Wing-Davey at Yale Repertory Theatre. Mr. Gray’s film credits include Dog Jack with Louis Gossett, Jr. and 8 of Diamonds opposite Eric Roberts.
