Artist Bio
Harriet Nzinga Plumpp
(Bio as of June 2003)
Harriet Nzinga Plumpp most recently appeared at the Goodman in Bounce during the 2002/2003 Season. She is a native of Chicago and received her Bachelor’s degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Her regional credits include Viveca in Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin at Apple Tree Theatre; Mrs. Anderssen in A Little Night Music and A Rogers and Hart Revue at the Ravinia Festival; Sophie Schummel in Hans Brinker at Theatre Building/New Tuners; Babes in Arms, One Touch of Venus and Call Me Madam with Ovations! Series at Auditorium Theatre; Woman #1 in Side by Side by Sondheim and Mildred in the American premiere of Saturday Night at Pegasus Players; and the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd at the Indianapolis Civic Theatre. National and international tour credits include the Middle East/North Africa Tour of Side by Side by Sondheim with Pegasus Players and the East Coast National Tour of A Christmas Carol with Nebraska Theatre Caravan.
