Artist Bio
Hassan El-Amin
(Bio as of January 2007)
Hassan El-Amin most recently appeared at the Goodman in Radio Golf during the 2006/2007 Season. A regional stage actor, he previously appeared at Huntington Theatre as Walter Lee Younger in A Raisin in the Sun and has performed across the country at such theaters as Alliance Theatre, Guthrie Theater, Pantages Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, San Diego Repertory Theatre, Arena Stage, Portland Center Stage, Denver Theatre Center and Oregon Shakespeare Festival in such roles as Mufasa and Scar in The Lion King, Floyd Barton in Seven Guitars, Booster in Jitney, Troy Maxson in Fences, Miss Roj in The Colored Museum, Leland in Blues for an Alabama Sky, Prospero in The Tempest, Marc Antony in Julius Caesar and the title role in Othello, to name a few. Mr. El-Amin earned his M.F.A. in theater from the University of Delaware.
