J. Michael Flynn most recently appeared at the Goodman in Big Love during the 2001/2002 Season. He has appeared at many theaters in many cities of the United States, play­ing everything from a French aristocrat to a junkyard dog. Among these theaters are A Contemporary Theatre, American Conservatory Theatre, Baltimore Center Stage, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Cleveland Play House, GeVa Theatre, the Huntington Theatre, Long Wharf Theatre, Magic The­atre, the Old Globe Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Portland Center Stage, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, San Jose Repertory Theatre, Seattle Repertory The­atre and the Sundance Institute.
