Artist Bio
Karl Michael Maschek
(Bio as of November 2001)
Karl Michael Maschek most recently appeared at the Goodman in A Christmas Carol during the 2001/2002 Season. He made his first appearance at the Goodman as Boy Scrooge in the 1989 production of A Christmas Carol. He originated the role of Charlie in the Goodman’s world premiere production of Scott McPherson’s Marvin’s Room, and appeared in the subsequent productions at the Hartford Stage Company, Playwright’s Horizons and off Broadway at the Minetta Lane Theater. Other theater credits include David’s Mother with Ellen Greene at the Pasadena Playhouse, Oliver! at Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace, King John and Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare Repertory, Shelley Berman’s First Is Supper at National Jewish Theatre and the national tour of Peter Pan with Cathy Rigby. Television credits include episodes of Saved by the Bell: The New Class and Running the Halls, both on NBC. He received his bachelor’s degree from Columbia College Chicago with a major in film and video.
