Artist Bio
Les Waters

Les Waters returns to the Goodman, where he last directed Big Love (Obie Award). Chicago credits include work with Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Broadway credits include In the Next Room (or, The Vibrator Play). New York credits include work with Playwrights Horizons, Signature Theatre, The Public Theater, Second Stage Theater, Manhattan Theatre Club, Connelly Theater, Soho Rep and Brooklyn Academy of Music. Regional credits include work with Actors Theatre of Louisville (Artistic Director, 2012-2018), Berkeley Repertory Theatre (Associate Artistic Director, 2003-2011), Arena Stage, Huntington Theatre Company, Mark Taper Forum, Yale Repertory Theatre, American Conservatory Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse and American Repertory Theater. Waters led the MFA directing program at University of California, San Diego from 1995 to 2003.
