Artist Bio
Matthew C. Yee

Matthew C. Yee (Music & Lyrics, he/him) has been a part of the Chicago theatre community since 2013. Matthew C. Yee’s new musical, Lucy and Charlie’s Honeymoon, made its world premiere last season at Lookingglass Theatre Company. Acting credits include Lord of the Rings (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 (Writers), Treasure Island and Moby Dick (Lookingglass), Almost Famous The Musical (Old Globe Theatre), Cambodian Rock Band (Victory Gardens), and Once (Paramount Theatre). TV credits include Chicago Fire, Chicago Justice, AMC’s 61st Street, and reoccurring on Empire Season 3. In addition to being an actor, Matthew is a musician, playwright, and filmmaker.
