Artist Bio
Myra Lucretia Taylor

Myra Lucretia Taylor most recently appeared at the Goodman in Mary during the 2010/2011 Season. Ms. Taylor has appeared on Broadway in Nine (Tony Award, Best Revival of a Musical, 2003), Macbeth, Electra, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Mule Bone and A Streetcar Named Desire, and off Broadway in The Little Foxes (New York Theatre Workshop); Love, Loss, and What I Wore (Westside Theatre); A Cool Dip in the Barren Saharan Crick; Crazy Mary; and Fabulation (Playwrights Horizons). She appeared in the national tour of Wicked as Madame Morrible, and has performed regionally in The Old Settler (world premiere, McCarter Theatre Center, Long Wharf Theatre). Internationally, Ms. Taylor was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company where she appeared in The Winter’s Tale and Pericles. Film and television credits include The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, Changing Lanes, The Big C and all three Law & Order series. Ms. Taylor is a Fox Fellow.
