Artist Bio
Obadiah Eaves
(Bio as of January 2008)
Obadiah Eaves most recently collaborated with the Goodman on Shining City during the 2007/2008 Season. Mr. Eaves also designed sound for The Lieutenant of Inishmore and Shining City on Broadway. He has created music and sound for dozens of Off-Broadway productions including The Piano Teacher, Mary Rose, Beautiful Child and Stopping Traffic (Vineyard Theatre), Trumpery, Romance, Celebration, The Room and A Second Hand Memory (Atlantic Theater Company), The American Pilot and Moonlight and Magnolias (Manhattan Theatre Club), Birdie Blue (Second Stage Theatre), A Feminine Ending and Chinese Friends (Playwrights Horizons), Hamlet and References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot (The Public Theatre). He won a Lucille Lortel Award for his work on Nine Parts of Desire (The Metropolitan Opera and national tour) and a VIV Award for Fucking A (The Public Theatre). His music has appeared on HBO, Nickelodeon, Discovery, TLC and Fisher-Price toys. His band, Big Hair, has released two CDs.
