Artist Bio
Rachel Miner
(Bio as of July 2001)
Rachel Miner most recently appeared at the Goodman in Blue Surge during the 2000/2001 Season. A professional actor since the age of eight, Miner can be seen onscreen this July starring in Bully, the new film from director Larry Clark. She appeared in the films Joe the King, directed by Frank Whaley; Hal Hartley’s Henry Fool; and as 12-year-old Alice in Woody Allen’s Alice. A three-time winner of the Youth in Film Award (Daytime), Miner appeared on The Guiding Light for five years in the role of Michelle Bauer, for which she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award and the Hollywood Reporter Young Star Award in 1995. Miner co-starred on Broadway in The Diary of Anne Frank with Natalie Portman and has appeared in numerous off-Broadway and regional productions, including Naked Faith: The Way at Naked Angels and God of Vengeance at Contemporary Theater in Seattle. She resides in New York City.
