Artist Bio
Regina Victor

Regina Victor (Assistant Director), they/them/theirs, is a director, multidisciplinary artist and arts critic, presently serving as the Associate Producer at Court Theatre. They are thrilled to embark on their second collaboration with Danya Taymor, after assistant directing Familiar (Steppenwolf Theatre Company). Victor has helped develop world premieres The Light, His Shadow (Loy Webb); Breach:… (Antoinette Nwandu); To Catch A Fish (Brett Neveu); and A Persephone Pageant (Sarah Ruhl and Morgan McNaught), among others. Additional credits include The Roommate (Steppenwolf, AD); Pipeline (Indiana Repertory Theatre, AD) and work with Victory Gardens Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theater, Timeline Theatre, California Shakespeare Theatre and more. As a critic, their writing can be found at Howlround, American Theatre Magazine, Windy City Times and on Rescripted, the arts journalism platform they founded in 2017. This spring, they will direct the world premiere of Pro-Am by Brynne Frauenhoffer at Sideshow Theatre Company, where they are an artistic associate.
