Artist Bio
Roberta Thomas
(Bio as of April 2001)
Roberta Thomas most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Amen Corner during the 2000/2001 Season. Other Goodman credits include The Gospel at Colonus as Ismene. Her other credits include Look What a Wonder as Rose at the Boston Civic House and on tour; Ginny in Tap Dance Kid at Wilson College and on tour; Grandma in Someone You Can Trust at DuSable Museum and on tour; Effie in Dreamgirls at Derby Dinner Theatre in Clarksville, Ind; and Show Boat at Drury Lane Oakbrook. As a gospel recording artist and featured soloist, Roberta has toured throughout the United States and Europe, including Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Portugal. This year will mark the fourth annual tour of Spain with her own group, which features gospel music “Chicago-style.”
