Artist Bio
Shannon Cochran

Shannon Cochran returns to Goodman Theatre, where she won a Jeff Award for her performance as Gladys Bump in Pal Joey. Other Goodman credits include Twelfth Night, A Flea in Her Ear, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and A Christmas Carol. She was recently seen at Writers Theatre in The Dance of Death (Jeff Award nomination), A Little Night Music (Jeff Award nomination) and Hamlet. She has performed at many theaters in Chicago, including Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Court Theatre, Victory Gardens Theater, Marriott Theatre and Drury Lane Theatre. Ms. Cochran created the role of Agnes in Tracy Letts’ play Bug, debuting in London, and recreating her role off-Broadway at Barrow Street Theatre, where she received OBIE and Theatre World Awards. She appeared on the national tour of August: Osage County, as well as the recent radio recording of the play for NPR/LA Theatreworks’ The Play’s the Thing. Her regional work includes productions at the Mark Taper Forum, Long Wharf Theatre, the Old Globe, South Coast Repertory, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and Geffen Playhouse. On television, she has had recurring roles on Scandal, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and NYPD Blue, and guest star roles on many others. Film credits include The Ring, The Perfect Family, Star Trek: Nemesis and The Babe.
