Artist Bio
Sheila O’Connor
(Bio as of November 2001)
Sheila O’Connor most recently appeared at the Goodman in A Christmas Carol during the 2001/2002 Season. She most recently was seen as the Flower Girl in Bridesmaids at the Athenaeum Theatre. Other credits include her performance as Edie in Tuning in El Paso, (Best Actress Award, Winter Sketchbook 2000), Reese in Stray Dogs at Profiles Theatre, and a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz at the Rosemont Theatre. Sheila has studied under Deb Maddox with the Sauganash Young People’s Theatre for seven years, performing there as Snug in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Anita in West Side Story, the Mayor’s wife in The Music Man, Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, the Artful Dodger in Oliver, Jackie Casino in Grease, Tweedledee in Alice in Wonderland and Tiny Tim in Scrooge. Sheila is an eighth grade student on Chicago’s North Side. She plays on her school’s volleyball and basketball teams, plays the flute in the band, and is the student council president. She is a Mullane Academy Irish Dancer, AYSO Soccer player, and a junior lifeguard at Leone Beach.
