Artist Bio
Suzzanne Douglas
(Bio as of February 2002)
Suzzanne Douglas, a native of Chicago, most recently appeared at the Goodman in Drowning Crow during the 2001/2002 Season. She includes among her credits Vivian Bearing in Wit and Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill. both at George Street Playhouse. On Broadway, Ms. Douglas appeared opposite Sting in The Threepenny Opera, and was also seen in Into the Woods, The Tap Dance Kid and It’s a Grand Night for Singing. Her film credits include Tap (winner- NAACP Image Award), How Stella Got Her Groove Back (winner- Black Oscar Award), Jason’s Lyric and Inkwell. Television credits include The Parent ‘Hood, and guest appearances on NYPD Blue, Touched By an Angel, Promised Land, The Parkers and I’ll Fly Away. This production marks her first stage appearance in Chicago.
