Artist Bio
Tanya Palmer
(Bio as of May 2019)
Tanya Palmer is the Goodman’s Producer and Director of New Play Development, where she coordinates the annual New Stages Festival. Palmer has also served as the dramaturg on a number of Goodman productions, including Vigils, Magnolia, The Long Red Road and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Ruined. Prior to her arrival in Chicago, Palmer served as the Director of New Play Development at Actors Theatre of Louisville, where she led the reading and select process for the Humana Festival of New American Plays. The co-editor of four collections of Humana Festival plays, as well as two collections of 10-minute plays, Palmer is originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and holds an MFA in playwriting from Toronto’s York University.
