Artist Bio
Thomas Lynch
(Bio as of December 2006)
Thomas Lynch most recently collaborated with the Goodman on Frank’s Home during the 2006/2007 Season. Other Goodman credits include Finishing the Picture, Pal Joey, Riverview, Faust and The Time of Your Life. Broadway credits include A Raisin in the Sun; Contact; The Music Man (Tony nomination); Thou Shalt Not; Having Our Say; Swing!; The Heidi Chronicles (Tony nomination); Ah, Wilderness!; The Young Man from Atlanta; and Tintypes. Off-Broadway credits include Valhalla, Far East, Laughing Wild, Food Chain, Madame Melville, Betty’s Summer Vacation (Obie Award) and Driving Miss Daisy. Mr. Lynch has designed for many major regional theaters and has worked with directors including Daniel Sullivan, Robert Falls, Emily Mann, Christopher Ashley, Richard Nelson, Stephen Wadsworth, the late George C. Scott and Garland Wright. Opera credits include the Ring cycle (Seattle), Alcina (Covent Garden), A Quiet Place (Vienna Staatsoper), Xerxes (NYCO) and the upcoming Rodelinda (Met). His awards include two Joseph Jefferson Awards and The Michael Merritt Award and he has also twice participated in the Prix d’Or of the Prague Quadrennial.
