Artist Bio
Tommy Tune
(Bio as of September 2008)
Tommy Tune most recently collaborated with the Goodman on Turn of the Century during the 2008/2009 Season. He is known for his work on Broadway, including My One and Only; The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas; Nine, The Musical; Grand Hotel, The Musical; and The Will Rogers Follies. He has sung and danced for three U.S. Presidents, the Queen of England and the Royal Family of Monaco. He was inducted into Broadway’s Theatre Hall of Fame, awarded his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has received nine Tony Awards in four different categories. On November 12, 2003, the President of the United States presented Tommy Tune with the nation’s highest honor for artistic achievement: The National Medal of Arts.
