Artist Bio

YADIRA PÉREZ (Teresa) graduated from the Mexican National School of Theater Arts, and in 2007 she received a two-year certificate from the International School of Gesture and Image, in La Mancha, Santiago de Chile, where she was trained in neutral character and comedy dell´arte masks, theater of the objects, minimal space, comics, tragedy, buffon and clown. She has taught at the National School of Theater Arts and in Cedart Frida Kahlo. Currently she is a performer in de Otto, a clown show directed by Azziz Gual, and participating in the International Festival of the Arts in Costa Rica. She has participated in national and international festivals such as Mexico National Theater Showcase, International Festival in Puebla, International Festival in Nuevo León, IV Festival ECTI (Independent Theater Creators Convention), International Festival of the Arts in Costa Rica, International Festival of Classical Theater in Almagr, and XXIX Ibero-American Theater Festival in Cadiz, Spain. She has performed in venues such as Kubik Fabrik in Madrid and Heidelberger Stuckemarkt in Germany.

Es actriz egresada de la Escuela Nacional de Arte Teatral, en 2007 realiza un diplomado de dos años en la escuela Internacional del Gesto y la Imagen: La Mancha, en Santiago de Chile, en donde obtiene un manejo y conocimiento en máscaras: Neutra, Lavaria, Primitiva, de Carácter y Comedia del Arte, Teatro de Objetos, Espacio Mínimo, Tira Cómica, Tragedia, Bufón y Clown. Ha impartido clases en la Escuela Nacional de Arte Teatral y en el Cedart Frida Kahlo. Actualmente como actriz es parte del elenco de la obra de Teatro Mendoza bajo la dirección de Juan Carrillo, y de Otto, espectáculo de Clown, dirección Azziz Gual, obra participante en el Festival Internacional de las Artes de Costa Rica.

Ha participado en festivales nacionales e internacionales como la Muestra Nacional de Teatro, Festival Internacional de Teatro de Puebla, Festival Internacional de Teatro de Nuevo León, IV Festival ECTI (Encuentro de Creadores Teatrales Independientes), Festival Internacional de las Artes en Costa Rica, Festival Internacional de Teatro Clásico de Almagro y XXIX Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Cádiz, España, así como funciones en la sala Kubik Fabrik de Madrid y en el Heidelberger Stückemarkt, Alemania.
