Artist Bio
Yasen Peyankov
Yasen Peyankov is a Chicago based theatre artist and educator who is originally from Bulgaria. Yasen is an Ensemble member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. He is also the Head of Theatre in the School of Theatre and Music at UIC. He has appeared in 26 theatre productions at Steppenwolf and has directed several main stage productions at Steppenwolf, the last being The Seagull by Anton Chekhov. Yasen also translates and adapts plays by Russian playwrights most notably Chekhov. As an actor her has also appeared in many film and tv productions.
