Join us for a conversation with lauded poet Ruben Quesada as he guides us through his poem in response to the Goodman’s production of The Antiquities. The talk will explore the poet’s relationship to themes raised in the show, his journey as an artist, and a breakdown of the poem itself. Don’t miss this thrilling chat with an incredible poet!

Light refreshments will be provided, along with wine provided by Doña Amalia.

ABOUT thE POET

Headshot of Ruben Quesada.

Ruben Quesada is a poet, translator, and editor. Publications include Best American Poetry series, New York Times Magazine, Orion Magazine, Harvard Review, The Believer, and Poetry Foundation. His poetry collection Brutal Companion won the Barrow Street Editors Prize. It was a finalist for Best New Poetry Collection (Chicago Reader) and recognized as A Notable Book by the University of California. He has received grants/fellowships from the Illinois Arts Council, American Literary Translators Association, Jentel Foundation, and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.
