Mariela in the Desert
A world premiere
Contemporaries of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, artists Mariela and José once lived the high life in Mexico City. Now they live an isolated existence in the desert, haunted by the ghost of their young son. This intriguing new play by emerging playwright Karen Zacarías is scheduled for production in 2006 at Washington, D.C.’s Theatre of the First Amendment.
