Life was sweet in this small Wisconsin town. Then corporate America came to the table.
A wave of uncertainty spreads across Reynolds, Wisconsin, after a Chicago-based corporation acquires the town’s main employer, leaving workers and their families to fear for their livelihoods. The merger, however, presents longtime employee Kim a newfound opportunity—and a moral dilemma. Rebecca Gilman presents a timely, thought-provoking look at workers’ rights and the effects of big business on small town lives.
